Filippo Caltabiano is a quick-thinking award-winning Cinematographer spearheading a new connection between cinema landscapes. He successfully collaborates with creative and unique minded directors with the goal of supplementing their vision with his own.
Among his recent works, Waltz For Isabelle [2025], directed by Emiliano Figueroa, premiered at Concordia Film Festival 53rd where it won best short in the midnight category, and is now set to screen in Los angeles. Other Shorts have been selected in various festivals around the world, notably The Callback [2024], directed by Mateo Galindo Pena, which premiered at the The Valley Film Festival. Filippo has proved multiple times he can bring a vision to the next level and deliver results.
Filippo is working his way to be a member of the Society of Camera Operator (SOC) and works freelance as a Director of Photography. In 2026 Filippo Caltabiano completed his studies with Master degree in Cinematography In Los Angeles, where he studied under masters of the craft such as Suki Medencevic ASC, Jacek Laksus ASC PSC, David A. Armstrong and Pascal Lebegue AFC. In 2024 he graduated from a Bachelors degree in Filmmaking at NABA, Milan. In the same 3 years he worked as a Gaffer in Milan for Borotalco, the N.1 music video production company in Italy, and as an equipment tech for rental house MoviePeople.
Collaborating with a range of talented filmmakers, Filippo Caltabiano is always open to new collaborative works in both narrative and non narrative fields.
